The Growing Taylor Family

Jen came with her daughter, Sydney, to visit us for a week this summer. Nyah had a blast with another little girl to play with, and Jen and I tried our best to tan in the backyard while the kids ran!

We "babysat" our neighbours dog, Mandy, for a week this summer. The kids just loved having her around. Quinn and Mandy had a mutual agreement about food. Quinn could throw it, and Mandy could eat it.

Nyah and Quinn having some watermelon on a HOT kelowna summer day!

Jacob Walker enjoying the Canada Day BBQ!

Say "cheese"! Little Isaiah Walker.

I took this picture of Ryan reading to the kids the day before Fathers Day. I would have posted the pictures from our fathers day dinner, but after a 40 minute wait to get a table with two hungry kids, the pictures didn't turn out looking very "fathers-dayish", if you know what I mean.....moral of this story is : when dining with kids, ALWAYS make reservations!!!!

I tried to find one of the two kids playing together in the backyard where Nyah wasen't naked.....this is the best I could come up with!

Quinn 11 months.

At the end of May we went to Julia Adamson's 3rd birthday party. The kids had a blast jumping on the trampoline and playing in the "popcorn pool".

A few of us took a girls trip to Seattle to the premium outlet mall. It was a great weekend to relax, visit and shop. Our only stress was trying to fit everything in the truck on the way home!
Here, Tobi and I are trying to get our bags closed!

We were sooooo lucky to have such beautiful weather at the end of May this year! Coming from Edmonton, I am definatly NOT used to have a bathing suit on, tanning in the back yard anytime before July!!!! Gotta love the Okanagan!!!

Nyah snoozing on the couch. And yes, I realize that she is almost 3 and still has a soother! We are working on it!!!!

April 20/07-Quinn, 9 months. His favorite activity....eating!

The mommies!
These girls are the reason I've stayed sane though the last 3 years!
For those of you back in Alberta that have heard me talk about these ladies (and their kids!), I'll finally put a face to a name for you!
L to R: Tobi Walker (mom to Jacob and Isaiah)
Me! (you know who my kids are...)
Jen Adamson ( mom to Julia, and twin boys Elijah and Alexander)
Lara Kuchta (mom to Aidan and Kyron-sorry lara if I didn't spell it right!)
Erin Goward (mom to Simeon, Judah, Olivia, and ???)

At church with Auntie Tara on Easter Sunday.

This is the famous "Molly", that her "Grandma and Grandpa Molly" are named after! Whenever Nyah talks to my parents on the phone, one of the first things she asks them is "what is Molly doing?"

We set up a little Easter egg hunt for Nyah in the backyard after church on Easter Sunday.

Auntie Tricia and Uncle Mike came to visit us for a weekend in mid-April. They have now moved to Scotland where they will be for the next 4-5 years! When we see them again at Christmas they will have a new addition to their family!

Great friends of ours, Sam, Sereena, and their daughter Isabella, stopped by one evening while visiting from Utah. With two babies to hold, Nyah was in her glory!

These are some of 'my girls' from high school. I was able to catch up with them thanks to a "child-free" trip to Edmonton! I miss you guys!

Good friends from back home, the Diakun sisters, along with Tori and myself spent a weekend pampering ourselves at the Rimrock Hotel in Banff. Thanks for the great, relaxing weekend girls! I think we should make it an annual event!

Quinn was being fussy one night when I was trying to make dinner, so I asked Nyah to go and find him a toy to play with. I turned around a few minutes later to find him covered in toys, and looking a little concerned!

This is such a "typical" scene around our place. Nyah looking thrilled to be holding Quinn, and Quinn looking a little scared. And yes.... he is wearing a pink bib. The poor guy really never had a chance......

This was Nyah's first year of skiing. She did really well! Ryan did most/all of the teaching. This picture was taken on the "magic carpet" in the beginners area. It wasen't long before Nyah was doing the green runs beside me. She has no desire to snow plow or make turns at this point so Grandpa Taylor made her a harness so that Ryan could keep her speed under control!

Jan/07-I asked Nyah what her favorite part about sking was, and she answered "riding the chairlift." So here we are!

Ahhhhh......Gravol.......made the 10 hr trip back to Kelowna a little more bearable!

One of my oldest, and dearest friends, Jen, came over to my parents to visit one morning (yes, it was early, that is why I have no make-up on and am wearing my glasses!) It was the first time that she had met Quinn, and that I had met her little girl, Sydney (who is one month older than Quinn). I feel very blessed to have friends that have seen me though various stages of my life, and now we venture into parenthood together!

Every year on Christmas Eve, our family goes to some long-time family friends, the Swenson's, for an open house. We have a huge Ukranian dinner and everyone, regardless of age, takes a turn sitting on Santa's knee and gets a present.
Nyah wasen't too sure what to think of Santa this year so mom had to sit close by to reassure her everything was okay! And as we expected, Quinn had no trouble at all, and seemed more interested in eating the wraping paper than seeing what Santa had brought for him!

Quinn 4 months.

This was Nyah's first haircut! This picture was taken the beginning of November, and ever since then, every doll, or character in a story has to be named after the girl who cut her hair, Kelsey!
